Elizabeth Calahaison
Elizabeth Calahaison is a Stoney/Cree woman from Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Alberta located on Treaty 8 Territory. She has been working with Cando for 1.5 years as a Special Projects Assistant.
Elizabeth recently has earned her Special Project Management Leadership Certificate through NAIT. Working alongside Supervisor Danielle Lightning, Elizabeth has assisted in coordinating projects such as conferences, workshops, webinars, and various business meetings.
Additionally, she works with Indigenous Economic Development Officers and Land Managers including Indigenous and Government networks and associations.
She comes from a family of 9 and have seen how hard her parents worked to provide for their children. This has pushed her to work harder as an Indigenous woman, to have a successful career, to be a role model for her community’s youth.
