The Economic Development Youth Summit is designed for First Nations, Métis, Inuit and non-Indigenous Youth from across Canada within the age group of 18-30 years old.
The Summit will promote the field of Community Economic Development and the role of the Economic Development Officer to youth.
Tremendous need for increased capacity building in economic development in Indigenous communities throughout Canada.
Seeking input of youth in Indigenous community economic development priorities and solutions.
Promote economic development as a career choice for youth and showcase the positive impact Indigenous EDOs can have on communities.
There is no registration fee, and Cando will cover travel, accommodation, and meal costs for each delegate.

Prospective Delegate Requirements
Short Essay Submission:
500-1000 words describing why you are a suitable candidate. Include experience, awards, and accomplishments.
Accommodations need to be secured by contacting by Danielle Stanley. Once you confirmed your attendance, you are to advise Danielle Stanley if you require a room and for which days. Cando will cover your stay for up to 4 nights from July 22-25, 2018.
Your accommodations will be covered only at the River Cree Resort, other accommodations will not be reimbursed and will be ineligible.
Accommodations cannot be claimed on your expense claim (no exceptions). A confirmation number will be emailed to you following your registration.
You must have a credit card available upon check-in and contact Danielle Stanley if you have any questions or concerns.
