Sharing the Story - Comprehensive Community Planning - Experiences in First Nations, Inuit and Northern Communities This document shares the stories of community planning in some First Nations, Inuit and Northern communities in Canada. The communities have different backgrounds, Circumstances and priorities. This results in a rich diversity of planning experiences from which much can be learned. The community planning process has many dimensions and fits into many other important community functions. It is the central tool used to change community vision into reality. These stories focus on some of the most current and relevant challenges and opportunities facing First Nations, Inuit and Northern communities today.
Community Futures (CF) Program
FedNor's Community Futures (CF) Program, supports 61 Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) - 24 located in the North, and the remaining 37 serving rural Eastern and Southern Ontario. CFDCs offer a wide variety of programs and services supporting community economic development and small business growth.

Community Engagement Toolkit
Algoma University CollegeThis toolkit has been designed to improve communitication within communities to promote a common understanding, and strengthen community partnerships that share community goals. The toolkit may be used for Community Planning, to gather information from the community, and to help build a community vision of the future.
