National Aboriginal Network of Organizations
There are many different types of national organizations that are involved in Aboriginal economic development, including professional organizations with a mandate to provide services to specific Aboriginal occupational sectors, sector councils with a broad mandate to develop Aboriginal human resource capacity, Aboriginal financial and business services organizations, organizations directed specifically towards youth and women, national political organizations with a specific economic development department, and other related NGOs. The National Aboriginal Network of Organizations was formed to maintain a network of national Aboriginal organizations that will work together to help each other meet their mandates with a focus on information sharing, networking, coordination, and capacity building. Each matrix provides and overview of the organization and a link to their Web site.
