CCEDNet is a national member-based, democratic organization and registered charity. CED can be defined as action by people locally to create economic opportunities and enhance social conditions in their communities on a sustainable and inclusive basis, particularly with those who are most disadvantaged. The membership of CCEDNet is made up of Community Economic Development (CED) community-based organizations and practitioners from every region of Canada.
NAEDB believes that Aboriginal Canadians and their businesses play an important role in creating a stronger economy, better jobs, and a prosperous future for all Canadians. The Board brings together First Nations, Inuit and Metis business and community leaders from all regions of Canada to advise the federal government on ways to help increase the economic participation of Aboriginal men and women in the Canadian economy.
EDAC's mission is the enhance the professional competency of Economic Development Offices and ensure placement of qualified people in the field of Economic Development; to advance Economic Development as a distinct, recognized, and self-governing profession; and to contribute to Canada's economic well-being EDAC is an eager partner with municipalities nationwide.
FNQLEDC is known to be a service-oriented organization, controlled at the local level and based on concerted efforts and decision-making consensus. The FNQLEDC works with all its members which are the Community Economic Development Officers (CEDOs) and their economic development organizations and is respectful of the local autonomy and political allegiance and had the support of different partners of the First Nations.
CCCR is able to assist diverse communities, First Nations, organizations, social enterprises, colleges and universities, financial institutions and government agencies with an array of services crucial to transition and to resilience from building capacity, training and curriculum, enterprise development, applied research, engagement and facilitation, policy and program analysis, publishing, and transition towns and trainers. CCCR's provides an extensive online collection of Aboriginal resources.
