The Canadian Community Economic Development Network
(CCEDNet) is a national member-based, democratic organization and registered
charity. CED can be defined as action by people locally to create economic
opportunities and enhance social conditions in their communities on a
sustainable and inclusive basis, particularly with those who are most
disadvantaged. The membership of CCEDNet is made up of Community Economic
Development (CED) community-based organizations and practitioners from
every region of Canada.

CESO (pronounced KESSO), also known as the Canadian
Executive Service Organization is a Canadian, volunteer-based, not-for-profit
organization founded in 1967. Our mission is to promote and extend the
economic and social growth and well-being of the Aboriginal peoples of
Canada and of the peoples of the developing nations and emerging market
economies. CESO Volunteer Advisers (VAs), highly skilled in their profession,
work in Canadian First Nation, Metis and Inuit communities, developing
nations around the world and in the new market economies of Central and
Eastern Europe.
