FNFMB is seeking a Manager, Standards & Certification responsible for assisting First Nations to develop organizational financial management capacity, and for planning and coordinating certification reviews of First Nations communities. Reporting to the Director of Standards and Certification, this role will facilitate and support First Nations in understanding what they need to successfully achieve and maintain FNFMB certification. The Manager will plan, coordinate and monitor the work of independent reviewers, and, work with First Nations in developing and providing capacity development resources so that they can achieve the standards established by FNFMB.
The successful candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in financial management, assurance, capacity development, and regulatory environments. Combined with a desire and experience working with First Nations communities and leadership, FNFMB is seeking an individual who thoroughly understands the FSMA, the FNFMB’s standards, assurance engagements, and financial management. She/he will oversee and maintain FNFMB’s client focused culture by assisting and enabling First Nations to prepare for certification by guiding First Nations through the FSMA, FNFMB standards and capacity development resource materials.
