J. Louis Causse Bio

J. Louis Causse is a Geologist who started his own mining consulting firm in 2007 after 25 years spent in Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC). He specialized in mineral evaluations (Ec. Dev., Specific Claim Loss of Use studies, Net Financial Benefits) and has more than thirty (30) year experience in geoscientific surveys/ mineral inventories/ royalty negotiations/ researches and advice provided for FN’s Reserves, traditional and provincial lands.

As Manager, Natural Resources, AANDC, he developed consultation/ informed consent strategies and assisted FNs in maximizing their benefits to satisfy their environmental and economic development needs when moving toward self-reliance.

J. Louis Causse provided expertise which falls under Federal (Indian Act and regulations) regime along with Federal-Provincial Mineral Agreements, mineral rights and revenue sharing.

He delivered several FN’s capacity building (LMTP, RLEMP) sessions regarding mineral development and self-management (FNLMA, TLE/ ATR, Stock Market opportunities) of FN’s lands. J. Louis Causse has been certified through the "Facilitator of Adult Learning Certificate Program” delivered by the FNs Technical Institute, Ont.
