Catherine (Debassige) Roque is a Senior Account Manager - BDC Aboriginal Banking, Ontario Region. Since joining BDC in 2007, Catherine has been helping First Nation, Metis and Inuit entrepreneurs identify their financial management needs. She connects clients with financing solutions and management advisory services that turn ideas into results, helping Aboriginal entrepreneurs achieve their business objectives. Catherine’s passion is building Aboriginal-owned enterprises. She creates new business relationships, enhancing business networks, and promoting the Aboriginal entrepreneurial spirit by collaborating with other lenders, the Aboriginal Financial Institution network, and related service agencies. Catherine volunteers on the Board of Nickel Basin Federal Development Corporation, in serving the Sudbury small business community, and is a member of M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Formal Education includes: CAFM (Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager) designation from AFOA Canada, Ontario Region; Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Laurentian University; Business Marketing Diploma, St-Lawrence College, Kingston; Business Administration-Accounting Diploma, Cambrian College, Sudbury; and Certificate in International Trade, O’Sullivan College, Montreal.
