Chief Roland Twinn

Roland Twinn has been Chief of the Sawridge First Nation since 2003 and prior to that sat as a Councillor from 1997-2003. He is also President of the ICRCC (since 2007), Sawridge Resource Development Corporation (since 2010),  and sits on a number of other Board including the Tri-Council which consists of the Sawridge First Nation, the Town of Slave Lake, and the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124.  In July 2012, Chief Twinn was elected as Grand Chief of the Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta.   Slave Lake has been always been dear to Chief Twinn and a place that he will always call home.   He was born and raised in Slave Lake 49 years ago.
