Tim Whiteduck

Tim is a member of the Kitigan Zibi First Nation, an Algonquin community located in the Gatineau region of southwestern Quebec. Having worked in the domain of ICT for the last 16 years in the areas of technical support and management, Tim is now employed as the ICT Coordinator for the First Nations Education Council (FNEC) since 2003. Tim leads a dynamic team of IT personnel that support the integration of technologies for the First Nations of Quebec.

Several of the FNEC accomplishments include the establishment of a regional Videoconference and Broadband connectivity network (Fiber Optic community networks), regional software licensing programs, ICT Training, and the development of various on-line Internet based applications. Tim is also the regional coordinator of the First Nations Schoolnet program, a program that has been critical in the development of Broadband connectivity services for First Nations Schools. Through the auspices of the Schoolnet program, Tim and his team continue to support the advancement and integration of technologies through the vision and leadership of the FNEC directorate and its 22 member communities.
