Matt Vickers
Matt Vickers is the Provincial Director of the Aboriginal Services Program in the Management Consulting Practice of MNP. Matt has over 34 years of experience in consulting and Aboriginal banking. Throughout his career, Matt has had the opportunity to work in a broad base of industries including First Nations, arts and culture, financial institutions, healthcare, government and information technology. He has worked on a wide range of assignments across Canada’s First Nations communities, helping Aboriginal entrepreneurs with their business and banking needs. In addition to his consulting and banking experience, he is the successful owner and manager of three thriving businesses, and he lectures extensively across the world on issues ranging from Aboriginal economics to team dynamics, self empowerment, goal setting and building trusting business relations. Matt has been honoured and recognized with several awards for his performance in business and for his passionate support of diversity in the workplace.
Matt specializes in establishing links in cross-cultural business environments. He has a successful track record of matching Aboriginal with non-Aboriginal potential business partners, and with helping them to organize and develop thriving business ventures.
Matt’s Aboriginal ancestry stems from the Tsimshian/Heiltsuk & Haida on his fathers side, and English ancestry from his mothers side.
