Andrea Werner-Leonard
Andrea Werner-Leonard received a PhD in Sociology from the University of Alberta, specializing in research methods, the sociology of stress, health and well-being. Andrea has over ten years of experience facilitating workshops, seminars, training sessions, face-to-face interviewing and focus groups. She has many years of experience in questionnaire design, data analysis and report writing on such topics as seniors’ housing, First Nations’ health and well-being, Aboriginal social needs assessment, public employee work satisfaction, and client, family and employee satisfaction with Alberta’s continuing care system. Andrea joined the Population Research Laboratory (PRL) in 2006 as the Project Manager for the Métis Settlements General Council 2006 Census. Currently, she is working with the PRL as a Research Consultant on the 2008 CANDO Survey of Native Economic Development Officers and the 2008 Health Quality Council of Alberta Health Satisfaction Survey.
