Professional Aboriginal Economic Developer 



Professional Level recognition is an indicator of capacity that expands on the 16 competency requirements, and incorporates on-the-job learning; an exploration of ethics, leadership, and communications; and a higher level of analysis and assessment of Aboriginal economic development theory and practice.

To earn your Professional designation, you must satisfy all the Professional Level requirements:

  1. Must have been granted the Technician Level Certification.
  2. Complete the Certification Interview Assessment.
  3. Complete the Professional Level (PAED) Application.
  4. Submit a Cando Membership Form and course fees.
  5. Complete the Cando Professional Development Course.
  6. Demonstrate two years of work experience in Aboriginal economic development .
  7. Submit a final research paper or case study in Aboriginal economic development.
  8. Submit all documents by mail, fax or email.
