Learning Events

Simon Fraser University (SFU) was established in September 1965. In less than 40 years SFU has gained an international reputation for its strengths in the liberal arts and sciences, as well as for its innovative interdisciplinary and professional programs. In 2001, the CED Centre and Continuing Studies launched the non-credit Certificate Program for CED Professionals in response to the need for more opportunities to increase knowledge and skills for people working in the field.

We are very pleased to announce an articulation agreement between the SFU non-credit Certificate Program for CED Professionals and CANDO.

The complete Certificate Program has been matched with two competencies within CANDO's Certified Aboriginal Economic Developer Technician level: Competency 2 (CED Philosophy and Theory) and Competency 3 (CED Practices). Candidates for CANDO certification must complete the eight courses in the SFU Certificate Program to match the two competencies.
